Worms World Party IS being released on new N-Gage platform after all

Hurrah! It seems that THQ and/or Nokia have changed their minds, and
the apparently cancelled Worms for N-Gage has been un-cancelled. This
is great news for the next gen N-Gage as the game was very well
received on the original gen N-Gage, and should be even better on the
new platform thanks to the bigger screen size and better internet
connectivity. Nokia chose to mention All About N-Gage's "Most
Anticipated Game" reader poll in their Worms announcement, so perhaps
AAN's readers managed to get Nokia to see how much demand there is for
this game.

The new Nokia E63 review - Hardware and Email

The Nokia E63, at £200 (SIM-free), is one of the cheapest S60 phones (at RRP) on the market. With its QWERTY form factor it looks, at first glance, very similar to the popular, but more expensive, Nokia E71. In the first part of his Nokia E63 review, Steve looks at the hardware and explains the differences between the two 'sister' devices, before covering the Nokia Email experience and discussing highlights from the on board applications.

Comes with Music for less on 5310, also on N96

Nokia's subscription music service, Comes with Music, seems to be struggling to pick up momentum. The major problems are around educating users in the details of the offer and the limited availability in terms channel availability and handsets. However worthy of note is that Carphone Warehouse has reduced the price of the Nokia 5310 Comes with Music Edition to £82.18.

New Nokia 5800 firmware upgrade now available via Nokia Software Updater

There is some good news for Nokia 5800 owners.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is now supported by the Nokia Software Update service. The currently available firmware is v11.0.008, which will not be new for most users. However, if you purchased your 5800 in the first half of December you may be running v10.x firmware. The update is relatively minor, but does fix a number of annoying bugs.

Nokia N85 Review - Online &Overall

So here is it,our beloved nokia n85.
Ewan finishes his look at Nokia's OLED-screened N85 by taking it online. He also sums up his impressions, concluding that "underneath these colours is a thoroughbred". He does concede that some of the software in the N85 is "old" but recognises that this also brings maturity and stability. There are plenty of positives in the N85's package, it seems.

New features added in Google Maps for MOBILES !

Google Maps for Mobile adds business directions.

So it will be more fun using google maps now !

Ooh, you all know how much I love Google Maps for Mobile (e.g. for S60, but also for other platforms). It just got itself a 'server-side' upgrade, adding in full directions support for local businesses. You don't need to update your software, just search for a business name (e.g. "Computer Training" or "La Fontana" [a local restaurant]) in 'Get directions'. Some screens below, plus link.

Nokia E63 is now to be available in US

QWERTY Nokia E63 heads to the USA

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas Nokia has announced that the Nokia E63 will shortly be available in the US. The Nokia E63 is a QWERTY-equipped S60 phone and is effectively a budget version of the Nokia E71. It has a 2.0 megapixel camera, WiFi and 3G connectivity, and runs S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1. It will have an esitmated retail price of $279 (unlocked) and will be available in the 'coming weeks'.

New type of Memory cards announced !

The future of memory cards is here :)

With CES currently in full swing, the future of two of our tech world memory card formats has been announced. First and foremost, SDXC has been launched, the successor to SDHC. The 'XC' stands for 'eXtended Capacity' and allows cards of up to 2 Terabytes (that's roughly 2000 GB) and up to 104MB/s for read/write speeds. Presumably 'micro' versions of SDXC will also appear at some point, for phone use. Secondly, the M2 cards used by some Sony Ericsson UIQ 3 smartphones are set to be superceded by 'Memory Stick HG Micro', also promising up to 2TB and with 60MB/s transfer speeds.
