More music Nokia Music Store opens in Italy
The latest branch of Nokia Music Store has gone live in Italy, if you head over to music.nokia.it you'll find instructions in Italian on how to use the service. Interestingly in this globalised age the press release for the launch emphasises the need for local music, giving a statistic that 54% of music bought in Italy is Italian. Nokia developing S60 TD-SCDMA (Chinese 3G) handset for 2009
At the Mobia Asia Congress, in Macau, Nokia reaffirmed its commitment to TD-SCDMA (also known as Chinese 3G) and said it was working on an TD-SCDMA enabled S60 handset for release in 2009. This follows on from the news that Digia has integrated TD-SCDMA into S60. China is one of the key emerging markets for mobile and China Mobile is one of the world's biggest operators (by customer numbers).

Samsung PIXON M8800 second 8-megapixel phone

I heard that LG is preparing its second 8MP cameraphone, a slider that will be more modest companion to the Renoir KC910 touchphone. With Samsung, it is exactly the opposite. They already have the Symbian S60-powered slider INNOV8 and the PIXON is a full touch candybar, to compete with the Renoir.
As Samsung’s second 8-megapixel digital camera phone (Samsung’s first 8-MP phone is Samsung INNOV8), the Samsung PIXON (a.k.a Samsung M8800), is a powerful multimedia phone that can play high-definition Movies in DivX and Xvid file formats, work as a GPS navigation system with its built-in GPS receiver, play MP3 music and output the music through its SRS (Surround Sound System) Virtual 5.1CH, and take high-quality pictures and videos with its built-in 8-megapixel digital camera / camcorder plus anti-shake, flash, and other features. Besides that, the phone also features a big 3.2-inch LCD touchscreen that supports intuitive navigation technology.
The good thing is we probably won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on a full review unit to bring you our final thoughts on the 8-megapixel touchscreen phone. The Pixon is expected to be available first in France in mid October followed by the other European and Asian countries. No pricing details have been announced.

Hey,Nokia N85 launched
The N85 is Nokia’s next N series phone to hit the market and the good news is that *Nokia N85 is launched* today in the UK. The phone has been described as some as a new style N95. Lets take a look at what it can do.
Just like the Nokia N95, the N85 is a dual slider phone. Slide the phone upwards and you reveal a numeric keypad, while sliding the phone down will reveal multimedia keys. The *N85* sits above an N79 in features and below in specs that the new N96 has. However, the price also reflects that making the N85 a good choice should you not be willing to spend more for the more flashy N96.
The screen is OLED which provides you with a nice bright clear image as well as using less battery power which is a requirement for these types of multimedia computer/phones. The N85 has a 5 megapixel camera built in with the regular Carl Zeiss lens. A dual LED flash helps you get the right image in duller conditions. Autofocus is also built in allowing sharp images to be snapped at any distance. To protect the lens from scratches, an active cover has been included that automatically loads up the software when you slide the cover off. Video can also be taken on this phone at 30 frames per second.
On the music side you will be happy that it has all the regular music features of the other N series phones in it’s class. With the dedicated keys on the slider it also gives easier access to be able to skip tracks, pause etc… A 3.5mm jack plug allows you to use your own headphones. If you don’t feel like using headphones to listen to music then you can make use of the N85’s built in FM transmitter. What this little device does is allow you to tune in a close by radio to the frequency on the phone and you can listen to your N85’s music over the radio.
The Nokia N85 uses the N-Gage gaming service to run. Fifteen demos are included on the phone and you have a code that will activate one of them for free. The buttons on the phone are not fixed to one application either. If you open the slider and start a game then the relevant buttons will be shown. I find this to be a nice touch to the N85.
The phone is jam packed with goodies and measures 103×50×16mm making it smaller then the N95. It weighs just 125 grams which isn’t too bad either. The N85 runs v9.3 of Symbians operating system with Feature Pack II installed. GPS can also be found in this device allowing you to track yourself with in meters. GPS is also capable of being used to Geo-tag photo’s which is a cool feature usable on services such as Flickr. Memory capacity can be increased up to 8GB via a MicroSD slot.
There isn’t really anything to fault with the N85 and should you not want to stretch for the N96 price wise then the N85 is ideal for you.

Lo Wang discovered Master Zilla's demonic scheme to rule Japan, using creatures summoned from the dark side. A man of honor, Lo Wang quit. But one as powerful as Wang either must be on your side, or on no one's side. Master Zilla unleashes his creations for their first test: to kill a single man, a shadow warrior.. Lo Wang!
Game Play: Practically every cool feature you saw in Duke Nukem 3D is in Shadow Warrior, plus more!
Use huge 3D rotating gun turrets to mow down opponents. Some turrets are on things like battleships, while some are simply set into a wall, or other structure.
Swim, duck, jump, drive vehicles, climb ladders and more in this intense action game.
Visit realistic places and settings in the game like an airport where a plane has crashed, construction sites and more, not just dark, dreary, faceless dungeons.
Intense interaction with your environment in which you can blow up nearly every object, or interact with it in some way.
Use vehicles to smash down some game walls, or destroy a section of a map.
Drive vehicles which have weapons from machine guns to lasers, or rockets. Get into some vehicles and go under others. You will drive things like boats, tanks, personnel carriers, forklifts, bulldozers and more. You can run over enemies, or shoot them. The choice is up to you!

Run setup to do controls, but can also be done in game.
Also ambiant sounds takes lots of memory, and having that ON will lead to out of memory, i.e crashing the app.

So just a matter of reconfiguring, either cfg file directly or in game.

How to add SUBTITLES in SMATMOVIE video.Detailed description
1. Open www.subscene.com
2. Register urself on this site.
3. Now search for the subtitle u want and download it.
4. This file will be in .srt format, but smartmovie can show the subtitle if this file is converted to .sub format.
5. Now search on the google for this software. "subtitle workshop". It is freeware and download it.
6. Open the software.
7. Then open the .srt file in this programme.
8. Then from the file menu select " save as".
9. Then select the "microDVD", and click on save. Now u have done.
10. Put the converted file into mobile, and rename it as the movie name but its extention must be .sub instead of .avi.
11. Now watch the movie with subtitles and NJOY

Coreplayer is the best video,audio,immage player for the phone,in my nokia 3230 work perfectly,but this nokia not is stereo...doh!! At my nokia n70 have a big problem...doesent wor good.... Nokia 3230 have 1Mg ram and n70 have......400kb ram,is very low for a big phone...

Sony Ericsson W305 Yao cell phone to be released next year
The people running out of new designs in the Sony Ericsson's lab or are they just porting over cell phones with a few changes from different segments? After the Rika, we have news about yet another cellphone that's going for the Walkman branding, the F305 gaming phone, which will become the W305 when it is released next year in March. Going by the code name of "Yao" (F305 was called Ying), the W305 will sport pretty much the same features as the F305 before it was Walkmanized, dropping the gaming keys on top for the Walkman button, a 2-megapixel camera, a 176x220 display, and most probably EDGE support, making this another low-ender in the Walkman category. Well,there has been yet another development.If you've been following the saga of Nokia's new next-gen email system, note that there's a whole new shiny beta of Nokia Email available, writes the Beta Labs team. There's more localisation, wider compatibility and plenty of minor bug fixes and detailed improvements. There still seem to be some issues regarding Google services though - indeed, the very Email home page doesn't render at all in Chrome, which didn't bode well for me.... In other news, Ovi Share has added a decent Map View so that you can see all your photos in a channel and where they were taken in a single glance.

As reported in other international blogs, the Nokia N96's first firmware update, to v11.018, is now available to the wider world, via Nokia Software Update [at least, it's now live in the UK]. No huge feature changes. As with v11 for the N95 almost 18 months ago, this is just to fix early shipping bugs. Also, thanks to AAS regular James Burland for setting up a N96 Flickr User Group. Worth noting even if you haven't got a device, in order to see the quality of its photos...
